Our Beliefs @ Riverchase Baptist
We affirm the Holy Bible as the inspired word of God and the basis for our beliefs. Our church subscribes to the doctrinal statement of “The Baptist Faith and Message”, including the Preamble, as adopted by the Southern Baptist Convention. We voluntarily band ourselves together as a body of baptized believers in Jesus Christ personally committed to sharing the good news of salvation to lost mankind.
Riverchase Baptist is a New Testament church - choosing to voluntarily cooperate with many different organizations to carry out the mission of Christ to our community, state, nation and beyond. On a international and national level, we affiliate with the Southern Baptist Convention through both the International Mission Board (IMB) and the North American Mission Board (NAMB). We also provide an opportunity for our members to support other outside mission opportunities such as the CBF's Offering for Global Missions and Disaster Relief organizations. We affiliate with the Alabama State Board of Missions and the Shelby Baptist Association for state and local missions. We also partner with many local missions organizations, such as the Women's Missionary Union (WMU), Shepherd Ministries International and social needs groups such as Jessie's Place.
